A special Swiss tradition.First you and an opponent each take a hard-boiled egg. Each person holds the egg -pointy side to pointy side, round side to round side- and hit them together. The egg that brakes is the loser. You can use the other side and try it again or find another opponent.
Then, of course, you eat the egg!

Here in Argentina we go to Church celebrations, especially on Saturday night.We've got the fire and water ceremony remembering our baptism and Jesus Resurrection.
We have dinner with the whole family and eat chocolate eggs. I think your tradition of boiled eggs fight is healthier and funnier than just eating chocolate eggs.
I'll try it next Easter.

Very interesting tradition. I knew that in some countries people used real eggs to celebrate Easter. However, I did not know about this one. Here in Brazil, we eat eggs made of chocolate. We have them in all sizes. We never use real eggs. We also receive boxes of chocolate or chocolate bars as gifts. So far I have received a chocolate bar ad two boxes of chocolate and I will get some more along the coming week.Thanks for sharing

I'm José Antonio's friend, and as he pointed out, we love to get chocolate eggs on Easter. My kids love them. Like in Argentina, some people also go to church.
This year, as I'm living in the US, my kids participated in Egg Hunts at school. They really liked the fun of it.
I really enjoyed learning about your Easter traditions, and I'm sure my kids would love to try this out!

I've enjoyed reading about your Easter traditions, even though it was celebrated much earlier this year!! Like Carla mentioned, Easter egg hunts are big in the U.S. Also, at this time of year, some of my favorite sweets, like Cadbury eggs are sold; they are chocolate on the outside with a rich, creamy filling on the inside.
