Simon and Louis

Louis Simon

After a reflective phase (see last post) I've decided to give an example of how a blog can be used for interaction, building up contact.

Two of my private students are introducing themselves below.
Take a moment to read and write a comment to them. They would love to hear from you!

Louis and Simon,

I hope you don't mind sharing an answer. You wrote that you like most of your teachers, but you did not say if you like each other. :-)

I know how old both of you are, but I am not going to say how old I am in case you run screaming from the PC.

I am an Englishman, but I live in Germany, in a town in the north called Osnabrück.

Good luck to you both with your blog and with learning English.

If you want to ask any questions - if it is raining and you don't know what to do - I will try to answer.

Hi dear Simon and Louis,

You are so positive with your teachers ! congratulations!.

Have you said Louis that one of your teachers is very sad?
I hope he/she feels happier now.

It is phantastic to see young students around and I hope you let us know great things about Switzerland as well.
Bye from Spain.

Hello, Simon and Louis!
I also teach students your age, and I guess their English is more or less at the same level as yours, since they would write pretty much the same sentences about themselves as you did...
Would you maybe want to get in touch with some of them?
Spring regards from Sibiu (2007 Cultural Capital of Europe),
Daniela Arghir.

Hi, Simon and Louis.

I hope you enjoy blogging. It's a very good way to share your thoughts with others, even people who live in distant parts of the world. You can see proof of that in these comments: they come to you from Brazil, Germany, Spain, Romania, and the U.S.!

I'm not teaching students your age now, but I did in the past. I enjoyed middle-school students very much.

Good luck in school! Have fun whenever you can!

Hi, Simon and Louis,

I'm Carla, an English teacher. Right now, I'm not teaching because I moved to another country, the United States. I am from Brazil. I have two kids, Caio and Dudu. Caio is 4 and Dudu is 6, and they are learning English just like you!

If you want to see some of our family photos and to know Key West (the city that we're living in), you can go to http://brazilnaskeywest.wordpress.com

So, you mentioned your schools. Now I'm curious to know about your hobbies. What do you like doing in your free time?

Waiting for your answers!

Beijos (kisses),

Carla

PS: Beijos is a word from my language. Do you know what language we speak in Brazil?!

Hello Louis and Simon,
Nice to meet you in cyberspace and glad to know about the subjects you like and your teachers too.
I am Venezuelan but live at the moment in Toronto, Canada, where the weather is still very cold and there is snow all over. It seems that tomorrow it will rain and I hope the snow melts down and goes away and spring starts. How is the weather in Lucerne?
All the best, Berta

Simon and Louis. You asked me what subject I enjoyed teaching most. The answer is: English as a foreign English.

Which of you is it that plays the saxophone? I play the clarinet, which is quite similar, even if it is a different shape.

I (simon) play saxophon
I (Louis) don't play a instrument.
Do you have pets? Do you have snow in germany? Can you speak german?

Good Bye

Simon and Louis,

I am holiday in South Africa. I am afraid, though, that I have seen no elephants or lions in Joahannesburg.

Greetings from Dennis Denos - the one from Germany.
